A SUBJECT PEDAGOGY

HUSSEIN JORDAN

Book Description

Grounding pedagogy was taken up by Walter Rodney. It is a methodology meant to exemplify and extend people and their families and social issues in African communities; but also its traditions, knowledge, wisdom and stories, ways of solving problems and ways of seeing the world are covered. There are many revolutions in African countries. African Revolutions are often supported by foreign powers. These sovereign powers also bring politicians close to them to the government and allow them to be used for the purpose of exploiting the country's resources.

Many countries in Africa are at war with each other. That's why they spend a lot of money on armament. Developed countries that sell weapons sell large amounts of weapons to the revolutionary countries in Africa, and this is how they obtain their resources. The idea of an African pedagogy deals with the existence of a common African culture or shared aspects of a common cultural tradition. "Culture" refers to a shared set of assumptions and expectations. The concept used by researchers to describe the parameters of what appears to be a common cultural tradition shared by most African communities is 'social life'. It is not an official definition. This is presented as an exploratory organizing structure. Within this tradition, the social sphere dominates all spheres of human activity. This means that the concern for developing and maintaining viable social relationships is crucial and is expressed at all times and under all circumstances. The social system is characterized by clearly defined hierarchies of status, which determine and govern human relations on the basis of respect for authority. In this book, African revolutions and African dedagogy are discussed within the framework of it.
